We believe God reveals Himself in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, which consists of all those who have received Christ by faith.
Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19
We believe no one is beyond hope, that Christ died for all, and whosoever believes in Him has eternal life.
We believe infants and anyone who is unable to reason with spiritual concepts, are saved through the grace of Christ and the work of the Spirit.
We believe that everyone, because of the effects of sin, needs to be saved from that sin. We believe good deeds are not the cause of salvation but are the result of being saved.
John 3:16; Romans 10:13
We believe sanctification (growing in spiritual maturity) does not mean we are sinless or perfect. It does mean, however, that we are set apart for God's purposes.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Galatians 5:22-25
Baptism symbolizes the baptism of the Holy Spirit and is a sign of the covenant which marks membership in the community of faith.
In baptism the church witnesses God’s initiative to claim us, forgive us, grant us grace, shape and order our lives through the work of the Holy Spirit, and set us apart for service.
It is the privilege of all believers to seek baptism for themselves and their children, and to accept its benefits.
Mark 1:9; Colossians 2:11-12
Communion is a symbolic rendering of the body and blood of Christ. We welcome all believers, regardless of church affiliation, to join us at the Lord's Table.
Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe God blessed marriage as a sacred institution for the happiness, nurture, and welfare of the family.
It is intended to be between one man and one woman. We believe marriage is designed to be permanent, however because of human weakness, this covenant is often broken.
The Church is called to strengthen marriages, but also to the ministry of healing those affected by the dissolution of the marriage covenant.
Genesis 2:18-24; Ephesians 5:25-31
We believe the judgment of God is both present and future. People experience judgment in many forms - broken relationships with God and others, guilt, shame, and fear – all are consequences for those who choose to walk in disobedience to God.
Those who reject Jesus Christ completely remain alienated from God and in bondage to sin, death, and hell.
Matthew 25:31-32; Hebrews 9:27-28
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, when the kingdom of the world shall become the kingdom of the Lord. Our great God rules in power now and will continue to reign forever.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54; Revelation 19:11-16
Membership in Gallatin Church is received by three means:
Acts 2:41-47; Hebrews 10:23-25
Led by the Spirit of God, Gallatin Church is a community of faith that celebrates God's amazing love, invites every person to join God's family, develops growing followers of Christ, and shares His message of hope with the world.
We are singularly focused on honoring Christ as Lord of all. Our emphasis is to bring glory to the One who is "before all things and in whom all things are held together" (Colossians 1:17). impact on the world around us.
We are willing to try creative methods to reach those who are unchurched, nominally churched, or who've given up on church. Our emphasis is to "Go into all the world... and make disciples" (Matthew 28:19).
We are not overly concerned with dress codes, worship styles, or traditions. Our emphasis is to "love God with all our hearts and love our neighbor as ourselves" (Matthew 22:37–40).
